After downloading

  1. macOS: open the DMG and drag Resolve Vault to Applications.
  2. Windows: run the installer and follow the setup wizard — it installs the Python component DaVinci Resolve's scripting bridge needs automatically.
  3. Linux: in a terminal, go to the folder you downloaded it to and run sudo dnf install ./ followed by the .rpm file name (Rocky Linux, RHEL, AlmaLinux or CentOS Stream 8+).
  4. Launch the app and click Start a free 14-day trial on the activation screen — or enter your license key if you've already bought one.
  5. Enjoying it? Buy a license any time during the trial, then use Enter License Key on the Account page. Your settings and backups stay as they are.
